| GSB Doctor Pepper Too 2006 bay gelding This colt is currently at "trainer's", actually a friend of ours that enjoys riding colts and has more time than we have. I raised this colt as a replacement for my old barrel horse (he even looks like "Pete"). I realize that some just can't be replaced. I am also too old and fat to ride barrel horses other than just here at home at a lope. This gelding has all the moves and potential to make a great barrel horse however is very immature mentally. Is a sweetheart and very willing just has some "booger" type issue than I can't get past, so I will never ride him. In my opinion he will NOT be a 4 year old futurity horse, but could be great as a 5 year old. I do not believe he would ever hold up mentally to the fast-tracking to get him ready this year, nor would I want him to be pushed that hard. Price would reflect his degree of riding, however he can live here forever I am not desperate to sell, just think it is a shame for him to not have the chance to live to his potential. I have not priced this colt, but am open to offers. |
